Yup, it's being printed. Hopefully by tomorrow a bunch will be folded, stapled, enveloped, stamped and on its way to my faithful subscribers.

Individual orders for No.2 will begin Friday at the earliest. Please, do not use the Buy-Now buttons for No.1 to order No.2. There is no way I can field corrections. So please wait for it.

Any subscriptions that I get between now and tomorrow will still begin with Issue No.1. So if you want to start you subscription with Issue no.2, wait until this weekend.

To hold you off, please enjoy the following art from Mitchell Hudson, more of his stuff can be found at his tumblr site: http://umberhulk.tumblr.com/ it's really creative stuff!

Summer-time Delays

There will be a slight, I hope, delay on the release of Issue #2. The delay is beyond my control, it might be the season, but I hope to start taking orders and get your issues out before the end of the week! Until then I thought I'd tease you with more art. This time it's by Daniel Bishop, aka RavenCrowKing.

Sold Out! (Again.)

But more are on the way. You guys are awesome. For some reason I got an influx of orders the last night, and this morning, and it wiped out my current stock of No.1. I had to dig into my Reserves (if you know what I mean) so I could fulfill as many orders I could, because starting this afternoon I'll be really busy through Sunday. Then I'll be out of town early next week to go camping on a local island  (yes, we have those in LA, it's called Catalina.) So starting now there will be a delay in shipments because 1. I have to print more and 2. I'm going to be crazy busy until Wednesday! Plus I need the break.

On a plus-note, I finished the lay-out draft of No. 2. I'm very proud of it. It's The Loot! Issue. It'll feature things like TREASURE, MAGIC ITEMS and not-so-magic items. Tons of new weapons & adventuring equipment and a merchant that knows "just the right guy" that might be interested in some of your wares. I have to print a test run or two to find any weird glitches that don't show up on monitors and then send it in for approval. With any luck, you'll find your copy of No.2 in your mailbox in a week & a half! For now here's a little teaser from one of my artists/players, Lauren Simpson.

Also! There have been inquiries about the next issue and subscriptions. Please don't use the Issue No.1 link to buy Issue No.2, there will be a new link. Subscriptions will, by default, start with the CURRENT ISSUE, which is No.1 at this time. If you already ordered No.1 separately, and decided on a subscription, PLEASE MAKE A NOTE stating the subscription starts at No.2. Actually, I'd prefer if you waited until No.2 becomes available to start your subscription. But I'll do my best to make sure I don't screw up any orders.

The tentative On-Sale date for Issue No.2 is June 26th. Subscriptions will start at No.2 at that time. I really can't make any exceptions, because it's a matter of efficiency and accuracy. It's really confusing as it is.

Committed to the Community

I want to make it clear that Crawl! is dedicated the Dungeon Crawl Classic RPG community as a whole, not just the DCC RPG Core Rules. I mean this to showcase original fan based DCC RPG materials and show support for all the fantastic stuff from Third Party Publishers (3PP)!

Crawl! fanzine supports them all!

Publishers! Got a sample for your setting you want to share? How about something new? Submit it!

Fans! Have something that would work with one of the 3PP settings? Let's see it. If you think it's good, it probably is. Propose it and we'll go from there.

Artists! Get noticed! We publishers are always looking for some new talent. Show us some samples!

Another DCC RPG Kickstarter is live!

This time it's a application for iOS and Android:

The Crawler's Companion App for DCC RPG!

I have an early beta of the APK, and it's awesome as is. Hands-down, already, the best dice roller for the Android, and include all the DCC RPG reference charts you need, with a randomizer on top of it?! Handy Dandy. Your pledge gets it out to the public for FREE (On Apple App & Amazon App stores), but as a backer you'll get copies of a Purple Sorcerer adventures! That's pretty sweet.

Now off to scrounge up more monies...

DCC RPG Kickstarters!

It's obvious that I'm a huge fan of DCC RPG, therefore I want the game to succeed. And it's pretty clear that a game's success is dependent on support. Support that comes from the fans and from the original developer being the most apparent. But support from third party publishers also helps. The amount of 3rd Party support that DCC RPG has gathered has been fantastic. I'd argue that amount of 3rd party products a game has directly reflects its success. DCC RPG has had several out the gate!

Now two more DCC RPG related products are currently on Kickstarter: Tales from the Fallen Empire, a sword & sorcery campaign setting and Appendix N Adventure Toolkits, a series of DCC RPG advenuture modules.
(And these are the only ones that've been announced...)

Appendix N has quadrupled its goal, Fallen Empire has a bit to go. But I'm sure it'll be met. also been funded! They're both really cool additions to your DCC RPG collection and could easily be used in any existing campaign. I know they'd work in mine.

What's Tales from the Fallen Empire?
"Tales" is a complete and detailed campaign set in a post-apocalypic world of ancient Sorcerer Kings and rising empires.

What makes it cool?
Six new classes, new spells inspired by Babylonian & Egyption mythology, survival & scrounging rules, and a 0-level adventure. Even if I don't use the setting as written, there is enough crunch to add to my game that would make this worthwhile.

What's Appendix N Adventure Toolkit?
The toolkits are DCC RPG adventures that can be plugged into any DCC RPG campaign.

What makes it cool?
So far it's up to 3 adventures! They'll be printed adventures, but include the PDF. They'll have several player handouts included and they'll be in the small but sweet, 8.5 x 5.5" format. If the pledges get high enough, they'll include a box!

I totally dig both products, and I seriously want them. I'm not sure I can afford everything, but if I could, I would support them in an instant. Looks like really good stuff. I also want to support these, and all other 3PP materials in my zine! (Hear that fans?)
