Back on schedule!

A quick note while I get all my crap in order:

All orders that came in this weekend have shipped! I really appreciate all the support.

Special Gold Metal Editions are officially sold out! I was able to sneak in a couple to random orders last week. There might be a copy at the two FLGSs I've previously mentioned.

Reviews are starting to come in! http://crawlfanzine.blogspot.com/p/reviews.html I appreciate them all and especially the constructive criticism!

Art for Issue n.2 is starting to come in and they look fantastic! Teasers in a few days.

And one final note...

CHECK THIS OUT!: http://purplesorcerer.com/crawler/ It's an online dice-roller and table reference for DCC RPG! Pretty amazing.

Memorial Weekend 2012!

PARTY!!! (Adventuring party, that is...)

So I technically sold out of the first printing of Crawl! I can't believe it. I had to make two runs to the printers to fulfill orders that came in the last couple days. I'm stoked. Crawl! is officially successful as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to celebrate by running Sailors of the Starless Sea tonight for my gaming group. Then starting Friday I'm going to Gamex 2012 and run some DCC RPG each night. I'll have copies of Crawl! on hand. I might have a couple of those "black" copies left. We'll see. If you buy one from me, I'll give you printed copy of the Aplus's Reference Sheets with my version of the cover in yellow card-stock. Deal? So I hope to see some of you there. Don't be afraid to find my table during my time slot (8PM Friday & Saturday) and say hi or buy a copy of Crawl!

On that note, I'll be gone all weekend, so I won't be able to ship any orders until after Monday. Sorry!

Time to get ready for tonight's game. And until everyone gets here, it's time to listen to some Metalcast.

Straycouches R Us

Confused about Straycouches or Straycouches.Com? You may have seen it before. It's the Internet domain that hosts my email and other websites. So don't worry! It's not spam or a phishing attempt. I marked a bunch of online orders as "shipped" last night, so you would have received an email in the wee hours stating that Straycouches has shipped your order. That was me! Heck, you may even receive your zine before you check your email.

Crawl! fanzine is published by Reverend Dak d/b/a Straycouches.Com.

DCC RPG WEEK!

This is a big week. DCC RPG should be shipping from the distributors to your FLGSs & online stores! Which means 3rd party pre-orders should start shipping tomorrow, and some stores might even have their books by tomorrow! Exciting!

For me, I'm hitting the post office to do some shipping myself. And then I'll be visiting my local FLGS and soliciting Crawl! Think they'll bite?

This Thursday my amazing weekly gaming group continues with Sailors on the Starless Sea. Then this Friday and Saturday I'll be running DCC RPG adventures at the Gamex (Strategicon) 2012 convention here in my home town of beautiful, but dangerous, Los Angeles. What a week!

By the way, if you're a Games Shop owner, or if you're friends with one, have them contact me if you think they should stock Crawl!

Teaser

Guess what? The official release date is one week away! That means in just over a week everyone will have their delicate fingers smashed by the puppy killer that is the DCC RPG Core Book. This also means I'll be able to ship the pre-orders of Crawl! fanzine no.1! I have surprise for all pre-orders, but I don't want to say what it is. It was inspired by a little joke that I took as a challenge, and you saw what happened the last time I felt challenged. I step it up. So here's a hint:

The next couple days are going to be spent folding, stapling, enveloping, labeling and stamping. Then I go on a quick trip to the desert for the weekend, then Monday will be a trip to the post office. So expect your copy of the zine sometime in the next week or two!

Aplus's DCC RPG Reference Sheets (and a cover I made.)

This is awesome. Jeremy Deram, or Aplus, of People Them With Monsters Blog has compiled some of the frequently used tables from DCC RPG into a digest sized document that can be printed as signatures, folded and stapled into a zine-like booklet. It's awesome, and you can download it from here:
http://peoplethemwithmonsters.blogspot.com/p/dcc-rpg-resources.html
He has even shared the cover he used for his personal copy:
http://peoplethemwithmonsters.blogspot.com/2012/05/dcc-rpg-reference-sheets-updated.html
I've decided to make my own and include a cheat sheet for PC creation. You can see it here:

and download it from my Box.com: https://www.box.com/s/3fa66cd9457f6e121371
